Homeless People Motivate Me
No it’s not the fear of one day becoming a hobo and begging for money. It’s the pain I feel when I avoid eye contact with them. The feeling of being able to do nothing while they hopelessly try to continue living day by day off leftovers. I don’t want to be that father that tells my son, “See that homeless guy? If you don’t try hard in school, you’ll end up like that.” I want to say, “SEE THAT GUY ASKING FOR MONEY?! YOU BECOME RICH ONE DAY AND HELP HIS ASS OUT.” The next time I make eye contact, I won’t just be giving them spare change; trust me, it’ll be far bigger.
